The WIA app and website are operated by Warrington Islamic Association. The app is provided to support the local community with prayer times, mosque announcements, events, donation appeals, news, contact information and related community services.

- Notification preferences: the notification topics you choose, such as announcements, events, donations, news, prayers or urgent notices.

3. Information we do not intentionally collect
The WIA app is not designed to collect sensitive personal information, payment card details, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings or camera data. If future features require additional permissions, this policy and the app permission notices will be updated.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- show prayer times, announcements, events, donations and news in the app and website;
- send optional push notifications based on selected topics;

5. Push notifications
The app may use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications. You can control notification topic preferences in the app settings and can also disable notifications through your device settings. Push notification payloads may include a title, message and a deep link type such as announcement, event, donation, news, prayer or urgent notice.
6. Firebase and analytics/services
The app may use Firebase services to deliver notifications and support app reliability. Firebase may process technical device and delivery information to provide these services. We do not use this data to sell personal information.
7. Donations and external links
Donation, registration, map, social media or third-party links may open external websites or services. Those services are responsible for their own privacy practices. Please review their policies before submitting personal or payment information.
8. Legal basis and purpose
We process information where it is necessary to provide app and website services, respond to enquiries, support community communications, protect the service, or where you have chosen to receive optional notifications.
9. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by trusted service providers that help operate the app, website, hosting, email delivery, Firebase notifications, security or analytics. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of our services.

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to enquiries, maintaining records, operating the website/app and meeting legal or administrative requirements.
